Why Goldendoodle?

In the 1990s, breeders in both North America and Australia began cross-breeding Golden Retrievers with Standard Poodles. The purpose of the cross originally was to develop guide dogs suitable for visually impaired individuals with allergies. The Goldendoodle’s name was established as breeders began to cross purebred Poodles with other purebred breeds in order to produce a dog with the Poodle’s non-shedding coat, along with various desirable characteristics from other breeds. That’s where the Golden Retriever comes into play.

Goldendoodles are social dogs and are happiest when they’re with people. Their eagerness to please and their love of learning make them very easy to train.  Their intelligence and easy disposition make a great combination for either first-time dog owners or experienced trainers. Goldendoodles can easily be trained with positive reinforcement. They are a perfect fit for owners who have allergies and require a companion, assistance or service dog that is non-shedding (or hypoallergenic). Today, Goldendoodles serve worldwide as guide dogs, therapy dogs, diabetic dogs, and search dogs and rescue dogs perfectly because they have inherited the Poodle’s intelligence and the Golden Retriever’s ease of training. Goldendoodles also make exceptional pets due to their affection towards families, as well as their friendliness and patience with children and strangers. Goldendoodles are obedient & protective family companions. They are very loyal and devoted to their family.
